Below are the contact details for the members of the Club Management Committee. Click on the job title to get a description of that persons role within the Club.

Chairman Paul Prosser T: 01376 327468

The chairman is responsible for the day to day running of the Club, making decisions that benefit the Club and its members as a whole. The chairman is also responsible for helping to formulate the Club development plan and facilitating the plans implementation. The chairman also deals with disciplinary issues and represents the club at league meetings and events. The Club constitution, rules, codes of conducts and policies also fall under the remit of the Club chairman who is responsible for ensuring they are fit for purpose, communicated to Club members and adhered to.
Key Tasks:
Chair committee meetings/ Annual General Meeting
Agree agenda for committee meetings and the AGM
Represent the Club at League meetings, AGM’s and Special General meetings
Deal with any disciplinary issues
Administer the Club constitution, rules, codes of conducts and policies
Support the Club Secretary


Vice Chairman Mark Edwards e:mark.edwards@GN-FC.com

The Vice-Chairman of the club is responsible for formulating and driving the Club development plan. The Club development plan defines the objectives of the Club based upon the members needs and requirements and details the operational plan on how the Club will reach those objectives. As well as administrating the tasks to obtain the funding required for the growth of the Club the Vice-Chairman is also responsible for communicating the short, medium and long term plans to the committee. The Vice-Chairman is also responsible for administering the tasks required to maintain the Club charter standard award and assist in promoting a positive image to the local community.

Key Tasks:
Chair committee meetings as required
Represent Club at league meetings in the absence of the Chairman
Formulate & facilitate the Club development plan
Carry out tasks associated with maintaining the FA’s Charter Standard certificate
Apply for grants, sponsorship or other forms of financial assistance from organisations such as Sports England, Football Foundation, Awards 4 All
Keep committee informed of progress


Secretary: Tracey Wilkinson

The Secretary's role is that of principal administrator for the Club. The Club Secretary carries out all the administrative duties that enable the Club and its members to function effectively. The Club Secretary is a pivitol role within the Club. The secretary provide the main point of contact for the people within and outside the Club on just about every aspect of the Club’s activities.

Key Tasks:
Attending league meetings
Affiliating the Club to the county Football Association
Affiliating the Club to the leagues the Club participates in
Registering players with above leagues
Dealing with correspondence
Organising and booking match facilities for the season
Organising the AGM and other Club meetings
Represent the club at outside meetings at the direction of the main committee.


Treasurer: Julie Dixon 01787 273797

The Treasurers role is that of to look after the finances of the club.
Key Tasks:
Collecting subscriptions and all money due to the organisation
Paying the bills and recording information
Keeping up to date records of all financial transactions.
Ensuring that all cash and cheques are promptly deposited in the bank or building society
Ensuring that all funds are spent properly
Issuing receipts for all money received and recording this information
Reporting regularly to the committee on the financial position
Preparing a year end statement of accounts to be audited
Presenting an end of year financial report to the AGM
Financial planning including producing an annual budget and monitoring it throughout the year
Helping tp prepare and submit any statutory documents that are required
Apply for any aid funding such as Gift Aid.


Child Welfare Officer: Andrew Jenkins

The Child Welfare Officer is responsible for the safety and well being of the children in the club

Key Tasks:
Ensure that all members responsible for children are advised of the FA’s code of conduct. Such as bullying (physical or emotional) and neglect
Ensure all Club members in contact with children have been vetted by club
Manage the child protection policy
Monitor the action of parents and spectators and matches when requested to ensure that code of conduct is being adhered to
Ensure all information released to press or internet meets child protection policy
Promote goalpost safety


Position: Asst. Child Welfare Officer:

The assistant Child Welfare Officer supports the Child Welfare Officer and provides a female point of contact for any child that needs it.

Equipment Manager: Nick Hawkins T: 01376 341844 e: nick.hawkins@GN-FC.com

The Equipments Manager's role is to be buyer and distributor for equipment for the club, this includes, football kits, and training equipment.

Key Tasks:
Be a the principal contact for team manager's regarding kit
Ensuring managers receive relevant information about equipment
When buying equipment ensure this is achieved as cost effectively as possible and within allocated budget
Distribute equipment to team managers
Maintain inventory of equipment held in club


Managers Representative: Rob Hallett 01376 330496 e: rob.hallett@GN-FC.com

The Managers Representative's role is to be the focal point for managers feedback and ensure managers are aware of their responsibilities to the club.

Key Tasks:
Be a contact for team managers
Ensuring Managers receive relevant information from committee meetings
Provide new Team Managers with a brief of their role
Ensure team managers are provided with an induction to the club
Attend committee meetings


Childrens Social Events

The Childrens Social Event team's role is to organise social events to bring the players, officials and parents together in a social setting to enhance relationships within the club.

Key Tasks:

Organise end of year presentation session
Organise a Christmas event for children
Organise annnual village fete event for the club
Booking of venues and entertainment


Adults Social Events

The Adults Social Event team's role is to organise social events to bring the committee members, managers and parents together in a social setting to enhance relationships within the club.

Key Tasks:
Organising at least two social events per year
Booking of venues and entertainment

Key Tasks:

To liase with team managers to ensure that each team has a kit sponsor,
To promote the club with local businesses to encourage their involvement in the club,

Key Tasks:
Communicate Club news to the members via email newsletter,
Liaise with parents and managers to promote club activities,
To be a communication point for local residents


Referee Secretary: Keith Ross 01376 345499

Key Tasks:
To be the contact point for all club referees
To liase with Essex FA & Leagues where required
To provide expert knowledge to club members and parents interested in becoming a referee.
To provide guidance and support to the club and referee's.

Committee Members:


Committee Members are responsible for making decisions for the good of the club and taking on ad-hoc jobs that require doing during the year to help run the club.

Key Tasks:
Attend committee meetings
Discuss club business and help make decisions regarding the running of the club
Assist the other committee members where necessary
Take on and help organise club events
